There are some steps to Port Mobile Number(MNP)

  1. Send SMS PORT <Mobile No.> to 1900
    • Example : PORT 98******87 to 1900
  2. You will receive a UPC (Unique Porting Code) Like –
    • Unique Porting Code for your mobile no. 98******87 is
      AQWRF987 UPC expiry date is 01/05/2019 21:12:00
  3. UPC code is valid for 15 days
  4. Visit your nearest Operator store, tell them you want to port your SIM
  5. Tell them the UPC code
  6. Document Required-
    • Self visit for e-KYC
    • ID Proof
  7. Charges –
    • Prepaid- Some operatore store take charges around Rs 0-50
    • Postpaid- As per plan
  8. This process will take around 5-6 days, untill then use your old operator network
  9. After some days you got a SMS regarding porting SIM confirmation
  10. Network of the old operator lost, restart your mobile
  11. Continue, start using new operator

Airtel Prepaid to Postpaid

You can convert number into Prepaid to Postpaid by three ways-

  • From Airtel official website
  • By send SMS
  • Visit Airtel Store

Through Official Website

  • Go to official website
  • Click on “Prepaid to Postpaid”
  • Conform your number and submit
  • You get a OTP in your Prepaid bumber

After succesful verification, your Prepaid number will be upgrade to Postpaid

Through SMS

  • Enter PORTYour Mobile Number to 1909
    • For Example- PORT 9897065*** 1909
  • You will receive a UPC Code

Visit nearest Airtel store and fill application form as well as your Aadhar Card
Within 2-3 hours, you get a SMS of succesfully activating your Postpaid Number

Through Visit Airtel Store

Go to nearest Airtel Store with copy of Aadhar Card, carry original aadhar also.

  • Fill application form and submit
  • You can continue using same SIM until get confirmation through SMS
  • Once get confirmation, reset your mobile

Now you got a new message for Postpaid connection, enjoy your postpaid services

Vodafone/Idea/Bsnl

Through Official Website

  • Go to official website
  • Click on “Prepaid to Postpaid”
  • Conform your number and submit
  • You get a OTP in your Prepaid bumber

Through Visit store

Go to nearest Store with copy of Aadhar Card, carry original aadhar also.

  • Fill necessary details / Application form
  • Your new postpaid sim will be activated within 24 – 48 hours
  • Once get confirmation, reset your mobile

Now you got a new message for Postpaid connection, enjoy postpaid services.
